Cyclists Welcome Scheme

Making cyclists welcome in your business is easy and can help to attract more and different types of customer. Moray Speyside welcomes more and more visitors each year as people discover the dramatic surroundings, welcoming communities and a great selection of delicious local produce.

Cycling is a fantastic way to make the most of Moray Speyside, with loads of opportunities to get on a bike, whether it’s for leisure, eating up the kilometres of tarmac on the road or throwing yourself down some mountain trails.  Welcoming all abilities, levels and ages, Moray Speyside can fuel your appetite for any cycling adventure.

Responding to the needs of cyclists, Moray Speyside Tourism has been working to recruit more cycling friendly businesses. With 30 businesses now participating in VisitScotland’s Cyclists Welcome scheme, we’re well on our way to making sure our cycling visitors have no shortage places to rest their heads, dry their clothes and store their bikes.

Make your business bike-friendly with the Cyclists Welcome Scheme.

VisitScotland worked with the Cyclists Touring Club and the Scottish Cyclists Union to produce a scheme to meet the specific needs of cyclists in their holiday accommodation. For non-accommodation businesses eg Visitor Attractions; there is an expectation that such businesses will display a commitment to looking after cyclists and have an appreciation of their particular requirements.

To become a member you must provide the following and your VisitScotland Quality Advisor will verify what the required facilities exist when they visit.
